About MDT Armor

MDT Armor uses technology that has been continuously upgraded using extensive battlefield experience. It has introduced advanced new engineering techniques, coupled with sophisticated, lightweight materials. Working closely with our customers, we tailor and custom design armoring solutions that meet specific requirements. MDT Armor meets and surpasses all international standards, and is a qualified supplier to defense forces, leading businesses and government agencies.

Armoring is much more than just "armor plates." It includes professional and secure installation of a variety of armor components — inside doors, dashboards, and all other areas of passenger and engine compartments. Overlapping sections are used to ensure protection from all angles. Armored glass is installed in the windshield and windows. MDT Armor has developed unique features, such as window operation mechanisms that rapidly raise windows despite their increased weight.

The entire body of the vehicle is fortified, including the roof, motor and other critical components. Door hinges are reinforced. Firewall protection from frontal assault is achieved with carefully designed overlapping armor. Options, such as air-conditioning, seating modifications and run-flat tires, are also available.

Vehicle maintenance is not neglected. Armor is placed in a manner that allows service at all times. Easy removal and specifically designed access gaps allow for all maintenance needs. Hundreds of thousands of miles driven in MDT armored vehicles prove that these vehicles continuously perform in day-to-day service.

An R&D group continuously analyzes data accumulated in the field, developing new and advanced materials and production procedures.

Over 30 vehicle types have been armored, including passenger cars, vans and various military vehicles. These include: General Motors Savannah, Ford Econoline and Mercedes Sprinter and Vario passenger and cargo vans; AM General Hummer; and other sedan and truck models.
